The Siesta Key Beach Ambassadors are volunteers in partnership with Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, the Siesta Key Chamber or Commerce and the Sarasota Convention and Visitors Bureau. They provide a happy welcome to visitors at one of the best beaches in the world!
Started in 2004, the Beach Ambassadors program has over 40 volunteers who provide assistance to beach goers seven days a week.
June – September – 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
October – May 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Beach ambassadors help residents and visitors enjoy their Siesta Key Beach Experience. Ambassadors can answer questions about Siesta Key, including general information about the area, other county beaches and parks, providing directions to cultural attractions, natural areas, businesses and the downtown Visitors Center. You can also pick up a copy of our Siesta Sand paper which provides maps of the village and Crescent Beach shops and provides a complete listings of businesses located on the island. Be sure to ask for your copy.
They also help to keep Sarasota beautiful by explaining the "Pack in, Pack Out" policy for removing your own trash and recyclables as well as the importance of keeping all parks and natural areas litter free.
