There is always something going on in Sarasota! This month features an array of events ranging from Exhibitions and Art shows to amazing Plays and great music! Catch a film or craft show at many of our conveniently located venues!

September 1 to Sept 6 – Isaac’s Eye – at the Urbanite Theatre.
September 3 at 6pm – Gallery Walk & Talk at the Ringling with Carrie Ann Baade – Free with Art After Five admission. Also on the 3rd from 8 to 11pm is Ringling Underground – Live music with Pleasures, Fay Roy, Gringo Star.
September 3 to 19 Cat on a Hot Tin Roof – Players Theatre

September 5 to 7 Pioneer Days in Englewood – cardboard boat races at Indian Mound Park on Saturday registration at 9am (starts at 10am) plus many more points of interest throughout the day, on Sunday there is a Kids Fish-A-Thon at 7am, an open car show from 3 to 7pm on Dearborn St with vendors & food. Monday on Dearborn there will be a Corvette only show. Also on Sunday a lineup of music at Pioneer Park on Green St. from 2pm to 7:45pm and on Monday from 11am to 2:15. September 5 & 6 – 10am to 4pm – Venice Craft Festival – meet some great crafters in this small town, downtown Venice on Miami Ave. There will be a wide variety of ceramics, jewelry, stained glass, metal works and much more.
September 5th & 6th Annual Labor day Regatta – Sarasota sailing squadron – This is the 69th Annual race. It is the longest running regional sailing event in the Southeast, since 1946. September 5th and every Saturday through Oct 31 from 10 to 1pm. Tour of the Historic Venice Train Depot. The information area is located at the caboose (last tour is 30 minutes prior to closing)

September 19 – 1 to 4pm Food & Wine Festival – A Taste of Downtown Food & Wine Festival benefitting the Sarasota Youth Opera.
