Sarasota Garden Club awards college scholarships

The Judith Woodbridge Schneider Scholarship Fund and the Sarasota Garden Club awarded three scholarships totaling $8,000 to Sarasota high school graduates who will enter study in Natural Sciences.

The presentation was held at the Sarasota Garden Club on Monday, May 18, 2020.  Neither Covid-19 nor rain dampened the enthusiasm of the gathering of students and club members.  Two high school students were presented with $2,000 scholarships and a $4,000 college scholarship was presented to a student to complete a second year of college.

Congratulations to the following winners:  Chloe Schwab attends the University of Florida and as a recipient of the Judith Woodbridge Schneider Natural Science Scholarship, plans to pursue studies with a major in Marine Science and a minor in Botany.  Veronica Gill, a Riverview High School graduate, will attend the University of South Florida majoring in Biology and Zoology.
