Woman’s Exchange Now Accepting Applications for Grants and Scholarships

More than 7 million awarded.

The Woman’s Exchange Inc. of Sarasota is currently accepting applications for the organizations 2015/2016 grant and scholarship cycle. The purpose of the program is to support and enrich a variety of programs for local arts and cultural organizations in Sarasota and Manatee counties, as well as student pursuing a higher education in the arts.

Students and area organizations interested in applying for a grant or scholarship are encouraged to access an online application by visiting www.sarasotawex.com.

The funds for this program are realized through the Woman’s Exchange’s consignment operation where merchandise is accepted either as a donation or for consignment from both individuals and organizations.

Grant and scholarship applications will be accepted until 4:00 pm on January 31, 2015 and awardees will be notified via email in April 2015.

Jazz Juvenocracy was one of the many grant recipients. “The Woman’s Exchange has afforded Jazz Juvenocracy the opportunity to go from playing jazz on the street corners of downtown Sarasota to playing at the most prestigious jazz festivals in the world. Sarasota can be proud of its reputation as a hothouse for future jazz musicians and the stellar volunteers for the Woman’s Exchange that make it possible,” said Lisa Risner, Artistic Director.
