Phillippi Estate Park hosts Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show

The Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show will be held outdoors on November 14 & 15, 2020, from 10 am to 5pm, at Phillippi Estate Park at 5500 S. Tamiami Trail. This quality juried fine art and fine craft show will feature artists in all disciplines selling his/her original and personally handmade art.

The focus of the show, juried by art professionals, is visual arts and features pieces created by award-winning artists from around the world, with all disciplines for sale – paintings, clay, glass, sculpture, fiber, wood, jewelry and more There is something for everyone in all price ranges. Great food from local area restaurants and music add to the ambiance of this beautiful show.

As part of their commitment to bring art education into the community, the Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show works with the 501c3 non-profit Institute for the Arts & Education to integrate a Youth Art Competition, for ages 5-13, within the art show. The Institute for the Arts & Education focuses on visual arts, cultural diversity, community enrichment and fostering art education among youth.

The youth program encourages students to enter his/her original artwork which will be publicly displayed during the entire show. On Sunday at 3pm, $250 Youth Art Awards will be presented at the show as young artists are exposed to the rules and entrepreneurship of doing art shows for a living. Each youth art winner also receives the same, two-foot long, colorful ribbon that the professional artists receive. The show organizer, HotWorks.org, consistently produces art shows that are voted in the top 100 art shows in the country.

Admission to the Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show is free. Parking is $5 and supports the Institute for the Arts & Education, Inc. COVID/CDC safety precautions will be in place including all booths a minimum 6’ apart, social distancing, and face coverings are required.
