Explore the joy of movement on Siesta Key beach each week.  Did you know that Sarasota’s holistic community believes our gorgeous white sand has a concentration of energy that maximizes the ability to heal physically and emotionally?  They credit this energy to our sand’s history and its makeup (99.9% quartz).  It’s no wonder you’ll find a class taking place on the beach, on any given day, to help participants connect with themselves.  While you’re here, why not take some time for yourself with a class on our cooling mystical sand.  The following classes/events take place on the beach every week:

FREE T'AI CHI CHIH – Siesta Beach, Access #5 – Every Monday, 15 minutes before sunset. Open to all, no experience necessary. Contact Diana Daffner 941-346-1024 for information. (Access #5 is in Siesta Village, where Beach Rd meets Ocean Blvd.)

FREE YOGA Mon-Wed.-Fri.-Sat. 9 a.m. Classes are held between blue & green lifeguard station. Call 941-320-6693 to register or

NOV 3 (FRI) 5-9PM / MOONLIGHT MOVIES:  Come and enjoy the movie Labyrinth on the sand with friends and family starting at sunset.  (Rainout date: Sat., Nov. 4).  Admission is free. Be sure to bring your blankets and beach chairs for this fun family event.


NOV 10 – 13 (FRI – MON) 9AM-10PM / CRYSTAL CLASSIC MASTER SAND SCULPTING COMPETITION: This annual event brings some of the finest artist in the world to our beach.  Live demonstrations of sand sculpting, vendors, food concessions, live music, and an amateur sand sculpting contest are all part of this beautiful event that promises some of the most stunning sand masterpieces.   This event opens at 10 a.m. and closes 9 pm Friday and Saturday and closes at 5 pm on Sunday and Monday.  See website for complete schedule, site map and ticket pricing as well as this year’s competing sand artists:


DECEMBER 2-3 (SAT & SUN) 10AM – 6PM. SIESTA BEACH SEAFOOD & MUSIC FESTIVAL:  FREE Admission.  The event is a unique blending of food, music and visual entertainment, affording attendees a potpourri of delectable seafood creations and delicious drinks prepared by the top restaurants in Siesta Key and Sarasota. Combined with the mouth-watering foods will be outstanding musical performances by local and regional musicians in a diversity of genres from rock ‘n roll, jazz, calypso, steel pan, R&B, and Caribbean sounds. Also part of the event is a marketplace of arts, crafts and fine products.

WEEKLY FARMER’S MARKET IN THE VILLAGE:  Every Sunday from 8am – 1pm in Davidson’s Plaza in the Village. 5124 Ocean Blvd.  Produce, Plants & Flowers, Music, Art, Organic Skincare, Italian Olive Oil, and Freshly Prepared Foods. Listen to live music while you shop.


NOVEMBER 4 (SAT) 5PM: PIG ROAST:  This dinner will take pladce at St. Michael’s Church located at 5394 Midnight Pass Rd.  Cost is: Adults – $12 and Children under 12 – $6. BYOB.

Dinner will include:  pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, applea sauce and dessert. Reservations are required.  No Sales at the door.  Deadline for reservations is Thursday, November 2nd. 50/50 drawing.  Stop by the Parish Office or the Knight’s Sunday Coffee & Donuts for reservations with payment.


NOVEMBER 16 (THURS) 5:30PM: EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATION: Siesta Key Sports & Physical Therapy is celebrating their 7th year anniversary with a party and educational,  interactive presentation  by a registered dietician. 5147 Ocean Blvd, in the Village.  Please RSVP at 941-870-5811.


NOVEMBER 18 (SAT) 8:30AM – 2PM: CB’s SALTWATER OUTFITTERS ORVIS-ENDORSED FLY FISHING SCHOOL: The school will cover fly casting basics, line control, shooting line and the roll cast. The course, designed for beginning and intermediate fly casters, will focus on basics but also work with intermediate casters on correcting faults and improving casting skills. Cost for the school, which will run from 8:30 AM to early afternoon, is $175 per person and includes the use of Orvis fly tackle and lunch. NOVEMBER 25 (SAT) 6-9PM: LIGHT UP THE VILLAGE & PARADE: Children can give Santa their wish list, have their face painted, visit with Santa's elves and be entertained by Sunshine the Clown.

Santa's gift bags provided by Beach Bazaar will be given to the first 250 children who visit with Santa. Santa will arrive by fire truck following the parade at approximately 6:15 pm.

Businesses will provide refreshments, while you enjoy live musical entertainment by the Pine View High School Jazz Band, Keyboard Players and choirs singing holiday songs.

Ocean Blvd. will be lined with luminaries and businesses will be decorated for the holiday season. Free Trolley Rides will be available from Siesta Key Public Beach to the Village from 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm.




This year’s festival will take place on the grounds of the Church and Parish Hall, 5394 Midnight Pass Road on Siesta Key.

This special family oriented event will kick off on Friday night, January 26, 2018 at 6pm in the Church Hall with an old fashioned live auction beginning at 6 pm.   The festivities on Saturday, January 27 will take place from 11am to 5:30pm. They will include food, crafts, music, games, raffles and other fun activities for all ages.  This event is open to all.

NOV. 10-13 (FRI – MON) 10AM – 6PM / CHALK FESTIVAL:  The Chalk Festival will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary. This year’s theme is “Evanescent”.  This venue has grown over the years and boasts being the largest gathering of renown pavement artists from around the world with amazing interactive 3D illusions along with a  variety of food trucks, beverages and spirits as well as cultural, arts and craft and fine art vendors.  Festival will take place at the Venice Airport Fairgrounds.  For ticket information, event schedule and site map, go to their website at:



Every month local galleries open their doors to the public for the evening, offering a chance to meet with artists and admire their work. Key Gallery, a contemporary fine arts gallery, will be making its debut in time for the May gallery walk.  See website for location map.


TOWLES COURT THIRD FRIDAY ARTWALKS / 5-9PM:    Gallery and studio openings on a moonlit evening of fun and beauty- both natural and handcrafted beauty. Free music, events, refreshments.
