Bartender of the Month

Crescent Club
6519 Midnight Pass Rd, 941-217-6837

Our congratulations and a clink of our drink to Gabrielle, who has been selected as our December Bartender of the Month. This Florida transplant shares her hometown birthplace with famous residents like musicians, Billie Holiday and Frank Zappa; writer, Edgar Allan Poe; and baseball great, Babe Ruth.  That, of course, would be Baltimore, MD.

Following is a light-hearted Q&A with our island celebrity:

Q: What’s your bartending experience and how long have you worked at Crescent Club? What drink have you perfected?

A: I have been in the service industry for 10 years, I have been bartending for seven years, and I started at the Crescent Club seven months ago. Since moving to Florida, I have perfected the key lime martini! 🙂

Q: What was the strangest or funniest experience you witnessed or were party to at work?

A: I’d have to say that the funniest experiences I’ve encountered at the Crescent always revolves around the jukebox! Between the dancing and the skipping of songs…how the music can go from disco to Dwight Yoakam in a matter of minutes! We all have such a great time!

Q: Any hobbies, goals, etc. you enjoy when not working?

I love to travel. I paint, exercise, and skydive.

Q: How would you describe yourself?

A: I am very passionate about everything that I do. I work hard and keep a positive attitude. Customers have referred to me as “smiley” because I’m always smiling! 🙂 I love to meet new people so bartending is so much fun for me!

Q: What makes Crescent Club a special place to visit?

A: We are the oldest bar on the Key, with great prices, and a fun, energetic staff! We are your “hometown bar” just steps from the beach!

Q: What specialty drink is the Crescent Club noted for?

A: We make refreshing blueberry mules, icy margaritas, and key lime martinis!

Q: When is the best time for locals and visitors to enjoy your company?

A: I usually work evenings a few days during the week and weekends.

So when in Gabrielle’s company, please be sure to raise your glass this month in her honor.
