July 1, 4, 8, 15 at 1pm – Kids Quests – Family friendly event – the Ringling Museum.  The sessions generally last 45 mins and feature conversations and a game with a museum educator.  You’ll explore different areas of the museum each time.  Cost is $2 per child. http://www.ringling.org/events/kids-quest

July 8 at 7:30 – American Idol Live at the Van Wezel – will give fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with the top 5 idols from Season 14.  Nick Fradiani along with Jax, Tyanna Jones, Rayvon Owen and Clark Beckham will showcase their talent with a live band.

arts 3July 10 5 to 9pm.  Friday Fest at the Van Wezel with Kim Betts and the Gamble Creek Band.  The Gamble Creek Band with Kim Betts, daughter of Dickey Betts of Allman Brothers Band and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They’re a high energy band that offers amazing male and female vocals, harmonies, and solos. They feature popular country/southern rock/classic rock hits that appeal to all ages.

July 16 from 6 to 7pm.  Gallery Walk & Talk at the Ringling Museum. An in-gallery dialog between photographic artist Builder Levy and Curator Chris Jones. Together they will introduce you to Appalachia and discuss artistic choices that shape the exhibition. Admission is free with Art After 5.

Every Monday the Museum of Art, including some exhibition galleries are free to the public!  Need something to entertain the kids this summer?  Did you know you can visit the The David F. Bolger Playspace free every day?  Walk the grounds, visit the Rose Garden, pop over to the bay…. There is no charge to walk the grounds and enjoy nature every day! General Admission is required to visit Ca’ d’Zan and the Circus Museum

Every Tuesday from 10am to noon, the Sarasota Children’s Garden offers Art experiences geared toward nature for children.
